Individual, inventive and energetic Khyam Allami is a London based artist of Iraqi descent. His passion for music has lead him on an remarkable journey from child violinist in Damascus to rock drummer in London to the stage of the BBC Proms. Making Tracks will enable Khyam to develop new work specially for this tour based on a new ‘2x2’ idea (oud with/versus percussion), featuring highly respected Palestinian oud player Ahmad Al-Khatib, amazing percussionist Yussef Hbeish (as featured with Trio Joubran), as well as Italian frame drum master Andrea Piccioni.
